    wildly exceeded my expectations, which weren't all that low to begin with. it convinces me that the ad hoc way in which derrida essays were thrown at us as undergraduates was insufficient to understand him. his thought is intricate and thoroughly reasoned, and though there might be a lot to be said against it, anybody who cares to attack derrida must first read him extensively.
