Witty and buoyant comedy of manners is brilliantly plotted from its effervescent first act to its hilarious denouement, and filled with some of literature's most famous epigrams. Widely considered Wilde's most perfect work, the play is reprinted here from an authoritative early British edition. Note to the Dover Edition.

I thought this was really funny. It was kind of whimsical and pointless in a sense, because it was written in such a way that it made fun of itself as well as just making witty plays on words. I totally enjoyed it. :)
I really liked this play, it was witty and probably a little racy for the times it was written. Always a fun play to see I am sure.
One of my favorite books, and plays. Have seen it performed live in a NYC loft in SoHo in a boxing ring. Strange but really cool.
Oscar Wilde had a unique mind and his books never cease to leave my thinking. This play was funny and very witty. A very quick read.
Incredibly hillarious story, chuck full of one liners to keep you laughing long after you put the book back on the shelf. This is my absolute favorite of Wilde.
Þessi var skyldulesning í menntó. Alveg ágæt en skil samt ekki alveg af hverju hún er svona fræg.
They just don't produce satire like this anymore, Wilde has some of the funniest lines ever in this piece!
Find it very difficult to 'read' plays. This is the exception. Very funny - he manages to get so much in. Every word is really 'doing something'. A great read
I was Cecily. Its an interesting play. I suppose there's a lot of Brittish humour. Cecily's character is the only one I feel is an accurate representation. The others are mostly satirical.
This play is ridiculously hilarious. You will fall off your chair laughing. Watch it performed, or read it as a group. Definitely written as a play for the performance aspect of it.
