When I came across this book from a donation box in Salvation Army, I knew I needed it. I was praying to God for a good guidance to be motivationa, influencial and authentic from a mentor and so on. Nonetheless, once I saw the title of this book, I knew it was the calling being answered. Having not read over 3 books in my life, I was attracted and knew it was my duty to finish reading it. Therefore, every lunch break, I open the book and read it till the clock rings. Each chapter left my second hand note pad filled with lessons and mentalities which no one else in my life was able to show me, let alone tell me.

I recommand all teenagers of Vancouver City area to read and learn hard from this novel. There is nothing worse than living a carefree life before the age of 20. This book will teach you the value of life, purpose of living and maturity discipline of being young. (show less)

I used to think that everybody knows what is right or wrong and all the books telling about moral lessons are not really useful. But after reading this, I know that I'm wrong. The more I read it, the more it urges me to change for the better. I'm now trying to follow its advice, from the very simple step. I have the belief that I can be a more effective teenager with its help.

As everybody said, this is an exellent book and I have read it lots of times but still find it very inspiring and helpful. It also contains a lot of real stories that I found very touching and inspiring.
Although now I am only 16, but I'm sure when I get married and have children, I shall give my children this book . The value of life, the essential morals in this book are taught so gently and profoundly. (show less)
