Atkinson writes convincingly about dysfunctionally families...no two-dimensional, cliche creations here. Good stuff.
I really enjoyed this. The story was told from different points of view and written really beautifully.
Great mystery read. Listened to it a bit on cd (which was very entertaining), but I couldnt wait and read the book instead.
a good book .... starts off feeling like several chapters of different books, then author ties everything together. it's a good story, good characters. not sure i agree with stephen king's opinion that it's the "best book of the year and best mystery of the decade," tho. a good read.
Amazing book! I had to read it for a Modern and Contemporary British Literature class. By the way, there are two sequels!! :)
I loved this book. It was evocative. I found the character development stellar. I look forward to reading other books by this author.
