Gerald Schroeder, an MIT-trained scientist who has worked in both physics and biology, has emerged in recent years as one of the most popular and accessible apostles for the melding of science and religion. DO YOU BELIEVE?

Gerald Schroeder, an MIT-trained scientist who has worked in both physics and biology, has emerged in recent years as one of the most popular and accessible apostles for the melding of science and religion. He first reconciled science and faith as different perspectives on a single whole in The Science of God. Now, in The Hidden Face of God, Schroeder takes a bold step forward, to show that science, properly understood, provides positive reasons for faith.

From the wisdom encoded in DNA and analyzed by information science, to the wisdom unveiled in the fantastic complexity of cellular life, to the wisdom inherent in human consciousness, The Hidden Face of God offers a tour of the best of modern science. This fascinating volume will open a world of science to religious believers, and it will cause skeptics to rethink some of their deepest beliefs. (show less)

It is always a pleasure to read authors who have a good command of language. Additionally Gerald Schroeder has a great ability to take a complex idea, break it down, and make it understandable in the simplest of terms. Scientists and authors who can do this, are by far the type of people who usually think little of their intellect but think more of how they can encourage others to think. As in practically every book, I do not agree with all that I read, but it is always refreshing to read ... (show more)

As in practically every book, I do not agree with all that I read, but it is always refreshing to read over other ideas and how that author expresses himself. In this book, Gerald Schroeder posits several theories that are contrary to the current scientific dogma. This is good, for it is by the continual challenging of accepted understanding that science in general is advanced. There are other parts of the book that Mr. Schroeder explains eloquently the intricate details of nature. These details if seriously examined by open minded scientists would lead them to understand that random events did not cause the universe and life into existence, but that God created it. An amazing book. I found it to be one of the most articulate books ever written on the the divine origin of the universe. I study cosmology, astronomy, and physics as a hobby. When I realize how beautiful the universe is I cannot be unhappy.
