This is an excellent adjunct to regular paramedic trauma courses. The algorithms are a bit different from NHTSA curriculum, using tourniquets early rather than late among other minor changes, but complements NREMT-P teaching well.
Caveats include making sure to note differences between National standards, local protocols, and PHTLS. Still, a very good text covering an important part of pre-hospital emergency response.
