I can't beleive how many out there disliked this book!
I'm a married mom of three, yes I'm in my mid-thirties. The twilight series gave me buterflies in my stomach again! Something that I haven't experienced in over 10 years.

This is a story, make believe, a mental get away! Please people stop taking things so seriously. So what if Bella gets Mary Sue on us. Don't we all wish life can be perfect at times?

What makes this book so different from the other ones in the series is the "Super natural world". It is the oposit of Twilight.
Twilight is in the human world and Breaking Dawn is in the Vampire world. Things would naturally be different there, how can we possibly comprehend it fully. Just enjoy the story as a ride, be gulible.

Like many I shook my head at the whole Renesee idea.
"no,no,no doon't go there...kids ruin everything" .
I quickly got over it and why not? After all Bella and Edward have the best sitters arround!

As for the last fighting scene, I got a dose of all possible emotions. I was getting worried that it would end in a bad way. How can we even think about killing one of the characters?

Even id the Cullens would have won the fight and obliterated the Voturi, that would not have jived. Sure we would have felt better that the bad guys are gone and done but then who would police the Vampire world? This is totaly out of the Cullen's nature. They keep to themselves, peacefully. They would not be able to rule with an iron first in a non violent way. So I understand why Stephanie chose to keep the Volturi.

I like that the book does leave room for possible new story lines, such as Renesmee and Jacob. Will they end up together or will the other half vampire/human will want to fight for her one day since she is the only non related hybrid female out there?
How about Garret and Tanya? Will Garret become a vegetarian too for Tanya?

All and all read this series for fun and enjoy the fantasy it is.

Stephanie Meyer thank you for sharing your wonderful story.
It sure help bring back the spark in my marriage and my personal life. This was what I needed.

Now back to reality LOL! (show less)

Oh my sweet lord, this is the craziest shit I have ever read and that is saying something considering I read some insane fanfic when I was 13. If I didn't already know about the impending mutant hybrid DEATH BABY! then who knows what sort of faces I would have been making while reading this.

Edward. . .doesn't really do anything this entire novel, except for wring his hands and look pained. I wanted my sparkly lulz! Jacob once again did a good job fulfilling the emo quotient. No wonder Hot Top hosted that insane tour. I did appreciate the comic relief presented by the werewolves though; it probably kept me from going completely insane.

Bella was so Mary Sue, it was painful- the most frustrating aspect of this book is that she doesn't have to sacrifice ANYTHING and even ends up getting things she never asked for. If anyone had any doubts that this is Stephenie Meyer's fantasy life, they should now be quelled.

Alice is still awesome. And even though Jasper just kindof hangs around in the background wanting to eat people and being all scarred, I still love him. Probably because Alice does. Alice you are too awesome for this book series, honestly. I will throw in my love for Emmett here as well.

Rosalie. . .yeah I'm not even going to touch the rampant obsession with BAAAAABBBIIESSSS OMG BAAABYYYY that all of the female characters have.

Overall: these are not GOOD books. These are ENTERTAINING books. You will laugh (mostly at things you aren't supposed to), you will knock yourself over the head with them wondering why you are even reading them, then you will keep reading because you cannot stop, they are so cracked out. I have now completed the Twilight series, which is kind of like saying "I have now undergone a sex change operation." I've started screening my calls lest the guild revoke my Man card.

Honestly? I really enjoyed the series. The first book was super girly, with a little horror mixed in at the end. The second book made me basically hate the main character's love interest.

But, like the Harry Potter series, the last half of the story is the best.

This last one was THE goriest thing I've ever read. I remember reading it with my eyes wide open thinking I might puke. To go from the girliest book ever to something that makes you wince in fear/revulsion is no small feat.

So, even though I'm sure the whole series set back women's lib by about 3 decades (spouse abuse, rough sex, baby fixation, madonna/whore, etc) I have to admit that I was fascinated and really enjoyed them. (show less)

WOW! What a page turner. I could not put it down. Just when I thought I had arrived at a lull in the storyline It slaps you with another exciting turn. and you dont want to leave them for even a minute.

Twilight made you fall in love with Edward
New Moon made you understand the intensity of his love for Bella
Eclipse gave you the grounding for unbreakable friendships

The Cullens stand together to protect the most important thing in thier lives. Family.
Jacob puts aside an inbread eternity of hatred to protect the thing that means most in the world to him.
Friends and Family all risk everything to stand in the way of Oppression.

A Marvelous Easy to read series that I thoroughly enjoyed. Each page gives you more and more to keep you interested.

Well done Stephenie Meyer, A most brilliant series of books. I loved them. (show less)

If you enjoy this serious, and HONESTLY think it is a good read, well written, and ORIGINAL PLOTLINE (wtf?) then I will definately question your mental stability.

I enjoyed this book as it reached the conclusion I had been hoping for. Writing wise I did find it the weakest of all the storylines. A little clunky at times, it felt as if Meyer had stepped away from the characters for a while, and had lost the thread of what she had once felt for them.

This "series" -- I refuse to call it a saga; that's an insult to all sagas before it -- is a complete waste of dead trees. Glorified fanfiction and wish-fulfillment at its most grotesque. I'm dumber having known about this series.

I really didn't enjoy this one, not one bit. I did love reading the rest of the books in the series, but I just thought that this one was a little bit of a cop out. It was the stupidly weird happy ending and was extremely predictable all the way through.

I loved this book, I really enjoyed all the characters who were in it, good and bad. I'm also very happy that everything worked out in the end.

BD was the worst book I've ever read. I'm a writer, so I know the rules to story-writing. Apparently, SMeyer writes like a 15 year old amateur fanfiction writer. She is terrible.

This has to be one of the most beeped up books I have ever read in my life. Apart from some parts being boring, it had awful smut scenes, and one really gory birth scene. It felt like I was reading a bad fanfic of Twilight. How can anyone think that Bedward's love is anything deep and longlasting other than just lust and sex.
