  Suzanne gave me this, her first novel, a long while back and I re-read it every now and then. It's excellent. It could do with a reprint - maybe it has now - as there's a lot of typos but I don't mind as the story is so good.

  Suzanne has a mass of experience in the occult and uses it well in the story. She also knows the places she writes of well so they appear in your mind's eye as you read. and her characterisation is good too. The people are real, their issues have some meat on them. S... (show more)

  Suzanne has a mass of experience in the occult and uses it well in the story. She also knows the places she writes of well so they appear in your mind's eye as you read. and her characterisation is good too. The people are real, their issues have some meat on them. She's not Ursula LeGuin but she's well worth the read. Even if the occult is not your speciality if you like a mystery this is very good. (show less)
