  Der alte Herr hat mich mit seinem Buch zum Nachdenken angeregt - wo kommen wir her, wo sind wir. Leider manchmal mit einem erhobenen Zeigefinger und teilweise sehr populistisch. Auf jeden Fall lesenswert, wenn man nicht vergisst, dass es in der Nachkriegszeit auch andere Politiker gab, die zum Erfolg der Republik beigetragen haben.

  It's surprising how many of the things he wrote about in this book have already come to pass in the short while since its publication. The book's clear style makes Schmidt's great insight into today's politics and economy, and the effects some decisions by few might have on many, very easy to follow. Good read.
