It's a hit!

the 1st one I read. More legend in some parts than it was historically accurate, but fantastic introduction into the world of Jim Morrison.

No, it's a flop!

I think that Jerry Hopkins glosses over the failings of Jim Morrison. It stands as a reasonable history of a tragic and wasted life.

  Did anyone NOT read this in college? This book and my black and white Sid & Nancy poster make me smile every time I see them. Takes me back to St. Bonaventure University, my friends Donna and Colleen's room, and I can pretty much smell the patchouli incense, the pot and the cheap tequila. Oh, youth......
