  Professor Attridge does a great job dealing with the background and source material; but never seems to venture an opinion on what anything means. This makes it a valuable academic resource; but with no appeal outside of that realm.

  A great, yet a bit limited, commentary on a beautiful book of the New Testament. Attridge handles the sources and background materials very well, but theology and application are a bit lacking. An essential for any study of Hebrews.
