My six year old loved it. For a change he cheered for a girl! He wanted to read it again right after he finished listening to it the first time.

As an adult, I did not find this as enjoyable a read as her others, perhaps because it is written for a younger audience. Still, it was charming and fun, but definitely more for children than adults. I WOULD however read this to younger children.

Cute story. Eventhough the main character is a girl, there is enough guy stuff--knights, jousting, swords, etc--for middle school boys. Over all, it is a story of triumph and redemption for almost all of the characters.
