Why didn't the US edition go with the original title, "Aunts Aren't Gentlemen"?

The last Jeeves & Wooster novel, published in 1973. The usual breezy tone falters a bit in places, and there's a certain amount of cognitive dissonance due to the fact that while most of the time it seems to be taking place in the usual between-the-wars Neverneverland in which Wodehouse's books are usually set, he occasionally drops in a topical reference, the effect of which is somewhat jarring.
