I read this in High School, and barely remember the details. Anyway, it's Hoffman on the sort of TAZ (see Hakim Bey) that emerged as Woodstock. I might be wrong, but trying to recall from the years ago that I read it, it was written with a sort of Beat Spirited style, mixed with images of "Pig" "Fascist" AmeriKa. I read this in High School, and barely remember the details. Anyway, it's Hoffman on the sort of TAZ (see Hakim Bey) that emerged as Woodstock. I might be wrong, but trying to recall from the years ago that I read it, it was written with a sort of Beat Spirited style, mixed with images of "Pig" "Fascist" AmeriKa. One of the most vivid images that has stuck in my head thinking back to this book, is the photo of what appears to be a high school - or university - basketball player, on court, who is raising his hand in such a way that resembles the German "Heil" gesture. I am not too familiar with Hoffman as a writer, so I only offer these few words regarding my memory of this text. (show less)
