As a member of the band Wilco and formerly of the band Uncle Tupelo, Tweedy and his band mates have garnered respect and praise from "Rolling Stone", "Spin", the "New Yorker", the "New York Times", and the "Chicago Tribune". Though admittedly biased, (as a fan of Jeff's work with the band WILCO), still one cannot help but be amazed with his literary skill--- the poem "Easy Bake Oven", is intensely captivating and reminiscent of Keats. I was surprised!-- I was, sadly, prepared to read poetry by a 'rock star'... thinking I may be a little dissappointed without the usual excitement and magic of the rock n' roll concert experience. I found his poems to be just as brilliantly lyrical as Miller or Poe with little 'tinges' of the sweet isolation found in Dickinson's letters. It was in a word-- "Impressive". I hope this will not be his last, might we have another Leonard Cohen on our hands? One can only hope! (show less)

It was neat to see the poems that Jeff pulls his lyrics from to make the songs for his many projects.
