  My partner bought this book for a few dollars and I immediately grabbed it and started to read it, almost rudely disregarding the fact that it was her book. It was as if I was possessed and I had to read it, so I was given a pass this time. But in any case, this is a book that changed my life perhaps, at least changed my views of the world around me. This is the kind of book that, after reading, you can't shut up about, and you start to annoy your friends with your incessant babble about the wild element of our crushed spirits.
