Technology changes at an unprecedented pace, impacting business at all levels. Nowhere is this more evident than in the world of information, and as such libraries are re-inventing themselves. Library 2.0 is a buisness model designed to help institutions work with this change and build user-focused services. A worthy read for any library professional.

Argued that libraries can increase their service to patrons by providing the "Long Tail," that is, books that appeal to niche interests.
Also argued that it is cheaper, when a patron requests a book, to buy it, through Amazon or E-bay, if necessary, than to borrow it from another library .. and eventually, weed as appropriate.
