  What a good book. Factually destroys all the myths about Rasputin but does offer a facinating insight into an amazing story of a man who came from nowhere to become one of the main advisors to the Russian royal family... which in itself creates a whole set of new myths about the man!!!

  Rasputin was one of the 20th century's most fascinating people. More untruth is known about the man than truth. Was he a devout cultlike figure who believed he was sent by God or a con man given to delusions of grandeur who was one of the catalysts in the fall of the Romanov dynasty? Ahhh read the book and decide for yourself.
