Like all Space Marine Chapters, the Soul Drinkers are bound to serve the Imperium by ancient vows. But when an ancient relic of the Chapter is misappropriated, the Soul Drinkers face a terrible dilemma - betray the Imperium, or lose their honour? Their final choice, and its consequences, form the theme of this classic trilogy of SF stories set in the nightmare world of the 41st millennium.

Traitorous scum who betray their oaths and present no good reason for it. A good idea badly written. The treachery committed is not even agonized over properly by any of the supposedly champions of mankind. All the mental conditioning, loyalty rituals and oaths of service cast aside for literally nothing. How ridiculous. And how obvious was it a chaos plot? SURELY the champions of the Emperor should have smelt a rat when the goddamn pskyer starts going off on one about the "architect of mankind". Pathetic... (show less)

  • All three of the books were great, the story takes you along the journey of the Soul Drinkers in such a good way that everything makes sense. I can't wait to get my hands on the next chapters of the story.

Very unique forray into the Warhammer world with this one, takes what you think of the Space Marine chapters and turns it on it's head, very interesting read.
