Can't really do it justice here cos the lines get cut off by this application, and this reinforces the point for me that typography's important in poetry!
This language seems to be hardwired into me. Don't have to think. Fantastic, clear, droll and refreshing stuff. Haven't read any poetry for ages and this beats any of the stuff I read for my degree... (show less)

probably the best book of poetry ever written. if i die, and there is a heaven and a god, and if god tells me that david berman was the best writer that ever lived, i would say "i can believe that."
