Of the 42 articles contained in this volume, I would say that there are only about 7 or 8 of them that (a) are any good, (b) make any sense, (c) are unpretentious, (d) are well-written, and (e) doesn't make me want to tell the illiterate authors to go back to school and learn how to write. Excellent compilation text about photography from a critical perspective. Shutterbugs might find the writing tedious, but academics and photographers will find great material in here.
