Had some interesting tidbits but overall not what I expected.
Based on the title, one would think the target audience is people who are searching for the truth, but have serious questions, and are interested in what the Bible says. Instead, the book is targeted towards a Christian who seems not to know to why others are not Christian. It provides the reader with questions that non-believers raise, while providing few answers to those questions, and the answers that are provided are mostly circular in logic. An example of the first instance: on the last page, the book states "Christians must seek to emphasize those Scriptures that command racial parity within the church and should be able to respond to the lack of parity in today's church." However, the book neither provides citations to Scriptures that would be useful to emphasize, nor addresses why there is not parity and how one might respond to questions regarding the lack thereof. An example of the second instance: in response to the question of whether the Bible has errors, the author of that section provides a 2-sentence answer that basically cites passages in the Bible and says that it God cannot err. But that answer is meaningless. It assumes the answer, i.e., no errors, to arrive at that same answer, thereby completely dismissing the underlying reason for the question.
I found CS Lewis' writings much more helpful. (show less)

A good book with well reasoned answers to tough questions. I got a bit bored with the critiques of other faiths, but the book was well worth my time.

Although not intended as a comprehensive guide to Christian apologetics, it is nevertheless a great reference book for one who seeks quick, to-the-point answers to some of Christianity's toughest questions. Great starting point for those interested in pursuing apologetics.
