An Unstoppable Force will excite and inspire readers about being part of the Church that God had in mind! A "force" created to change the world. A Church that is engaged with its community, daring to cut itself free from atrophied practices and programs to flourish in creative and compelling worship. A Church that risks reaching out to our jaded culture with "outside the box" expressions of faith and love.

This is quite a difficult book to review. It contained some of the most thought-provoking content on the topic of church that I have read, but I also found it quite tough going at times. It is quite dense, and slightly unfocused, much like sermons often are when given by first-time preachers.

For all that, I give it 4 stars and would recommend it to anyone who is transitioning a church or ministry. There are plenty of great quotes, and a lot to ponder. I'd advise reading it quite slowly (I've been coming back to it on and off for over a year), because there is so mucht to take in. (show less)

  • Great Start, but gets weaker as it concludes. If you want to read a book on the emerging church is a good one to read. But if you have already read lots on the emerging church you wont find much new ideas in here.
