Dilbert and the Way of the Weasel
In this new mass-market format, "Sunday Times" best-selling author Scott Adams presents an outrageous look at work, home, and everyday life. Building on Dilbert's theory that "All people are idiots," Adams now says, "they are also weasels." Just ask anyone who worked at Enron. In this book, Adams takes a look into the Weasel Zone, the giant grey area between good moral behaviour and outright criminality. Building on Dilbert's theory that "All people are idiots," Adams now says, "they are also weasels." Just ask anyone who worked at Enron. In this book, Adams takes a look into the Weasel Zone, the giant grey area between good moral behaviour and outright criminality. In the Weasel Zone, where most people reside, everything is misleading but not exactly a lie. Building on his hugely popular comic strip, Adams looks into work, home, and everyday life and exposes the weasel in everyone. With appearances from all the regular comic strip characters, Adams and Dilbert are at the top of their game - master satirists who expose the truth while making us laugh our heads off. "Funny, apt relentless" - "Financial Times". "It would be unwise to bet against "The Way of the Weasel"' - "Economist". (show less)

Not as good as the other books but still a good insight. Scott's bit more cynical than usual...if that's possible.

Any book that begins with “A retarded chimpanzee can drink a case of beer and still perform most management functions” is one that will immediately appeal to 95% of the population (including primates). Adams uses weasel like Australians would use the word wanker, and when this revelation is made (on page 2) the book means a bit more. Adams uses weasel like Australians would use the word wanker, and when this revelation is made (on page 2) the book means a bit more. The book in 350 pages lists all the underhanded strategies used by bosses and work colleagues to avoid work and teaches poor saps like us how we can ‘beat the system’. Indeed humorous and somewhat informative chapters about avoiding work and getting your own way, soon give way to a more mundane account of ‘Weasel CEOs’, ‘Weasel Professions’ and ‘Marketing Weasels’ making the second half of this book very much like Michael Moore’s Stupid White Men – where every sub-category of the capitalist system is held up for a beating – and that is only funny for so long. Appealing to fans of the Dilbert comic strip, capitalists and anarchists it is well worth a look. (show less)
