  This book is an awe-inspiring account of hip hop's influence on world events and of world events on hip hop. Chang makes you beleive he bore witness to all events, be it the rise out of Jamiaca, the spawning of breaks and b-boying in the Bronks to the gang land influences of South Central. The scope and depth is equal to any phone book sized sci-fi or fantasy epic. Enthralling
