'There are lovers content with longing.

Rumi is best known for his poems expressing the ecstasies and mysteries of love of all kinds – erotic, divine, friendship –and Coleman Barks collects here the best of those poems, ranging from the 'wholeness' one experiences with a true lover, to the grief of a lover's loss, and all the states in between: from the madness of sudden love to the shifting of a romance to deep friendship – these poems cover all 'the magnificent regions of the heart'.

Nothing I saw will do justice to Rumi's poems. Just play some Turkish music, grab your choice of liquor and read on...my personal favourite:

"We have huge barrels of wine, but no cups.
    That's fine with us.
In the morning we glow and in the evening we glow again.
They say we have no future. They're right.
    Which is fine with us."

  • A great collection of Love Poems. Don't get confused you must really rad in between the lines. Great for the poet that doesn't like to read other poets works. Learn to love with rumi, His way of love is like no other.
