This book was pretty awesome and I would have to say that I was so excited when I finally had the chance to read it. It was one of those really really hard to put down type of books. I know that I loved how Anne Rice created the character of Ramses who comes back to life from his mummy state as a archeologist who studies egypt. I even love how all of the events in this book unfold as the story went on.

I enjoyed the spine tingling moments for I knew that I could not put this book down until I found out how it ended it was so scary and good all in one. I know that I would get the other books about Ramses that Anne Rice would write if I was able to find them for I loved this one.

I would definitely recommend this one to people for it was awesome. (show less)

No, it's a flop!

I tried several times to get into this book. When I finally finished I wondered why it was ever written. Quite dull and pointless.

  First Anne Rice book I read which got me hooked. Was very impressed with the reseach of the period in which the story was set and the details.
