  I admit, I did what I try not to do and that is see the movie first, read the book second. But I'm a Wes Anderson fan and loved the movie then came home for Christmas and found in on my little brother's bookshelf.

  Ronald Dahl never disappoints. Great story. I think it would be great for bedtime reads.

  I bought this after my four year old enjoyed listening to "The Enormous crocodile" I got the one with the fully coloured illustrations by Quentin Blake and have resolved not to see the movie till we finished the book!! We took 5 days and he looks forward to listening to the story every nite. One nite he was too tired and fell asleep before the story but he promptly asked for it the next nite. Goes to show how interesting the book is..
