What We Talk About When We Talk About Love: Stories
In his second collection of stories, as in his first, Carver's characters are peripheral people--people without education, insight or prospects, people too unimaginative to even give up. Carver celebrates these men and women.

(show less)

Perhaps "The Bath," but I think I liked that one because it reminded me of "A Small, Good Thing.&qu... (show more)

Perhaps "The Bath," but I think I liked that one because it reminded me of "A Small, Good Thing." In the end, although I still love Carver's writing, I think the book Where I'm Calling From is a much better representation of his style. (show less)
