Fundraising and Development Plans

Dave Cohen

I just wrote up some goals for the Drupal for Facebook project. Rather than duplicate the information here, please see the original blog post.

I'm asking for help, both financial and otherwise. Please contribute if you can. This will speed development along, and the community will shower you with love and affection.

testing

i signed in w/ facebook, and logged out from facebook.

i then came back and was happy to see that i had to sign in again to comment

but when i clicked "log in", i put in my email and p/w and the Drupal site did not recognize me.

The facebook connect button, however, did.

Was my facebook login not supposed to trigger an automatic setup for my email and p/w?

or is there a conformation email sent to the address given?

also, when i logged in, i got this warning:
To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier.

works for trevor

this is great, thankyou for your work

This is great!

This is great!

error on facebook connect

user warning: Duplicate entry 'fb_user' for key 2 query: INSERT INTO authmap (authname, uid, module) VALUES ('fb_user', 613286, '') in /f1/content/d4fb/public/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 172.

should be fixed now

Thanks for the report. I hope that problem is now fixed. I'll keep an eye on the logs.

ditto

I just got this same error, with a different user number of course

Allow User Name and Login Name to be different...

There has been much work done on this. And I'm not sure exactly where it has got us. I would love to see User Name and Login Name allowed to be different. Indeed it was I who bumped the issue:

But I'm wondering if it is just money that will enable this to happen. Both Dries and webchick don't seem in favour of the change. What tricks do you have up your sleeve?

Cheers Daniel

nothing up the sleeve, unfortunately

Hey glad you bumped the issue. Every +1 might help convince the powers that be.

My answer, though, is I have no trick up my sleeve. I see this as the kind of change that takes some time to develop a patch, then even more to convince the community that it's worthwhile. If funded, I'd develop a patch, submit it, and hope it gets adopted. If it does, great. If it doesn't, at least the patch will be there for users of Drupal for Facebook.

i am having a bit of problem

i am having a bit of problem in signning In and out of the site. The servers seems to be down, hope they are Ok Soon.
