The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers is a nonprofit organization formed in 1994, to support aspiring young artists and writers by administering the prestigious Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. The premise of The Awards program is that young people who demonstrate creativity and originality have the potential to make important contributions in the future and they should be identified, encouraged and treasured. The Alliance brings the remarkable work of the next generation of artists and writers to a national audience and connects them to opportunities for workshops, grants, scholarships and career exploration with industry professionals.
