DONATE $10 or more through our Global Giving Page! How the Sharing Foundation Helps Cambodian Children Sina, age 15, is an orphan and head of her family, two younger sisters aged 12 and 9. She earns a monthly wage working for the sewing school and shop, a vocational program run by the Foundation that trains young women so they can earn a sustainable living wage. Sina helps makes school uniforms that the Foundation provides to over 1,000 street children in Cambodia. Chheng Srey Mom, 16, has completed grade 8. Since her parents work in the Sharing Foundation's farm program, she attended the Foundation's Khmer Literacy School which helped her enter the local village school. Her family has been willing let her pursue her education instead of working in the fields. Leda, a young child, was abandoned in a local market. She now is being taken care of at The Sharing Foundation's Roteang Orphanage. Opened in 2000, it provides a new standard of compassionate care for children in Cambodia. Orphans are admitted without regard for medical diagnosis. The orphanage is home to over 70 infants and children, nearly half of whom, due to serious disabilities, will remain in the Foundation's care indefinitely. Over the past ten years, The Sharing Foundation has built a successful program in Cambodia transforming the lives of many children. A small donation can have impact.
