Fund Paul Farmer's work to fight AIDS in Africa

Beneficiary: Donations to the cause benefit:
FACE AIDS FACE AIDS A 501(c)(3) nonprofit
Positions:
  1. People should not die from a preventable and treatable disease. Period.
Category: International - International Human Rights
Description: Baby Jennipher was born with HIV. Her mother lacked the resources to protect herself from AIDS and prevent transmission to her daughter.

Without treatment, Jennipher would almost certainly have died before her 5th birthday.

But Jennipher received AIDS treatment from Partners In Health. Treatment that costs less than $0.20 per day for children like Jennipher in poor countries.

Jennipher is healthy now. She is one of the lucky ones. Most children born with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa are left untreated, left to die.

We have the medicine, we have the technology, we have the resources, to fight this tragedy that is as much social as medical.

But we need you. We need to build a movement of people who are unwilling to let Jennipher, and millions like her, die without treatment.

Join the cause. All funds you donate to FACE AIDS are given in full to Dr. Paul Farmer's organization, Partners In Health, to provide treatment for the poor in Rwanda.

Help us build a student movement to fight AIDS!

What you can do: Join. Give. Invite ALL your friends to the event "Help send $50,000 to Paul Farmer in Rwanda" ( http://stanford.facebook.com/eve... )!
