Positions:
  1. Survival in young adults has not improved in 30 years while both incidence and mortality continue to increase. This is not OK!
  2. All young adults have a right to be treated age-appropriately and taken seriously by their medical providers at all times.
  3. Young adult survivors should never feel isolated and are entitled to connect with peer support and meet others who 'get it'.
  4. Young adult cancer research must be developed and funded.
  5. Cancer is a national priority but it needs a wake up call because remission is not a cure and survivorship is all that matters.
