KC Ghost Bike Project

Raise awareness of bicycle and pedestrian fatalities

Beneficiary: Donations to the cause benefit: Missouri Bicycle Foundation Inc A 501(c)(3) nonprofit
Positions:
  1. Bicyclists and pedestrians have the right to safely use our region's transportation system alongside our motorized travelers.
  2. Increasing awareness among the general public will help keep everyone safer.
  3. Traffic crashes are not accidents, they can be prevented.

Description: A coalition of KC-area groups is planning a metro-wide publicity campaign for Spring 2008. We plan to blanket the region with Ghost Bike signs to bring attention to the problem of traffic crashes that kill and injure bicyclists and pedestrians.

We need your help to fund this project. All donations are tax-deductible and are processed through the Missouri Bicycle Foundation. All proceeds from the KC Ghost Bike Project will stay in the KC metro area.
