Intel iMac owners facing displaying problems (vertical lines)

1. We love our iMacs but we are astonished how can Apple ignore such an obvious and wide-spread issue
2. We expected a level of quality from Apple products that matches the price we paid for them
3. How are we going to react next time we think of buying anything from Apple? Are we still going to shout out loud how great Macs are, as we did before????

The purpose of this cause is to regroup as many people as possible who experienced the "vertical coloured, 1 pixel wide lines appearing suddently on their intel iMac display" phenomenon, who browsed for hours webpages and forums in search for a miraculous solution but who realized that they were far from being the ony ones to have this problem.

Most of us have experienced this problem after the warranty's expiration, and when they contacted their dealer or Apple customer care service, they were told that it was not a known issue and the consequence would be to pay for an expensive new LCD slab.

Some people did pay for a new slab, but it is only fair that they get a refund from Apple.

Any recommendation or suggestion about the best action to take is more than welcome (online petitions, legal actions, precedants etc...)
