After viewing an Oprah Winfrey special about kids caring for kids in the winter of 2004, Kendall Ciesemier decided that she had to do something to help the 12 million AIDS orphans of Africa. She began by adopting a child through World Vision with her own annual contribution of $360. In June 2004, as Kendall faced an upcoming liver transplant, she organized her effort, "Kids Caring 4 Kids", asking friends and family to send donations instead of flowers or gifts. Kendall initially adopted a project through World Vision and began accepting on-line DONATIONS.

Since Kendall's fundraising effort began in 2004, 'Kids Caring 4 Kids' have received nearly $620,000 in donations fast approaching her new fundraising goal of $1 million which Kendall recently revealed on The Oprah Winfrey Show!

The funds Kendall raise's will go to support other charitable organizations and individuals which help those who have been impacted by the AIDS pandemic. The recipients will have an emphasis in Africa (where AIDS has hit the hardest) and to those who strive to help children.
