-1 person dies of cancer every 4 seconds in this world - every second of every day.

-1 out of 2 men, and 1 out of 3 women, will be diagnosed with cancer.

-Ending cancer would be worth $50 trillion to the US economy alone.

-Cancer the 2nd leading cause of death in the world, killing 7.6 million people each year.

(The leading cancer in women is breast cancer, with 1.2 million diagnosed globally and killing 500,000 each year. 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer. Breast cancer is the leading cancer in women, representing 31% of all cancer in U.S. women. (99% of all breast cancers occur in women).

In essence, cancer affects us all - via a parent, sibling, child, other relative, or a friend.

Mission: We are a non-profit campaign dedicated to forging alliances between scientists, lay public, and corporations/ foundations to establish novel avenues for cutting-edge cancer research and new approaches to cancer prevention. And we are dedicated to disseminating cancer prevention knowledge to communities and spurring the translation of cancer research discoveries to practical prevention and treatment approaches for the public.

The O Campaign is a California state nonprofit public benefit corporation with pending federal 501(c)3 status.

Our research benefits the Nurses' Health Study of cancer causes and preventions at Harvard Medical School.

The Nurses' Health Study (of Brigham and Women's Hospital, a flagship hospital of Harvard Medical School) is the world's LARGEST and LONGEST-running study into understanding cancer causes and preventions in women. The NHS has led the world in finding causes, preventions, and treatments for cancer for >30 years.
