| Description: |
Operation Tech Start is a nonprofit project of Southern New Hampshire University's Community Economic Development graduate program. Our goal is to upgrade the information and communication technologies (ICT) for the street children and struggling farmers in Tanzania by providing a computer curriculum & teacher training and laying the groundwork for connectivity in the rural regions.
It’s no secret that the African continent has not kept pace with technological advancements. Currently, Tanzania technological capabilities ranks last of all the Sub-Saharan countries in Africa. This technology gap contributes to the increasing economic deterioration and ongoing poverty. To boost the economies in developing African nations such as Tanzania, Operation Tech Start is there to improve ICT access and education - to give Tanzanians a tech start! |
