SENS is a detailed plan for curing human aging. SENS is an engineering project, recognising that aging is a medical condition and that medicine is a branch of engineering. Aging is a set of progressive changes in body composition, at the molecular and cellular level, which are side-effects of essential metabolic processes. Many of these changes are eventually bad for us -- they are an accumulation of damage, which becomes pathogenic above a certain threshold of abundance.

David Deutsch is hardly a fool, and with that in mind, he comes out most confidently in favour of SENS. Even the deeply maligned Cryonics gets a sensible hearing. In beautifull surroundings, newly aquired from hock, this is somewhat delayed...

I would like to give the scientific community and the public a chance to see the other hand of IMMORTALITY, it's not something you achieve by drugs, like the intake of white gold powder (also called Manna), or anything else, it's achieved by living a joyful, caring, councious and loving life.
