By the age of 14, Penelope had lost both her parents, been forced to drop out of school because of poverty, and had taken on responsibility for her siblings. With Camfed's support, Penelope was able to return to school -- and since then, we have watched her flourish. This week Penelope was awarded $25,000 from Fortune Magazine and Goldman Sachs to invest in her community in rural Zambia. Her plans: to make a film about gender-based violence, in an effort to put an end to it.
