To: Brazilian Congress

We petition that…

Slave Labor must end in rural Brazil. Over 25,00 rural workers are enslaved every year, mostly in the Amazon region. We urge the Brazilian Congress to pass Constitutional Amendment 438/2001, which allows land to be confiscated from those who use workers as slaves. To date, no landowner has ever been imprisoned for the crime of slavery. Please pass Amendment 438/2001 to show your commitment to ending slavery and holding land owners accountable.
Sincerely,
The Undersigned
