The University of Richmond was contacted by The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS)—the nation’s largest animal protection organization—and asked to sign a pledge stating:

“The University of Richmond joins others that have pledged to ensure that no laboratory animals in our care experience severe and unrelieved pain and/ or distress.”

To date, The University of Richmond has not signed this pledge.
