Mission:	QFAD gives positive attention to party participants, helping them to smile, laugh, and feel special. In turn, this can help them tolerate the treatments, loneliness and self-doubt associated with cancer.
Description:	QFAD hosts parties at hospitals for cancer patients to receive the royal treatment. Girls receive make-overs, manicures, pink feather boas, and tiaras donated by beauty queens. Boys experience the Hero treatment, based on firefighters and police officers. By giving children this time to remember what being a child is all about, QFAD allows the patient's body to relax and better receive medical treatment. The program also provides emotional and psychological support to the family in addition to the patient.
