Aumazo, Inc.

The Aumazo Project is introducing a new tradition in Cameroon by extending secondary education for girls in rural communities beyond middle-school to include high school. The goal is to ensure that girls are given the opportunities to pursue secondary education and succeed in life by the time they leave school. The Project aims to: educate, empower, and give voice to rural girls

Through the first boarding school under construction in Cameroon Aumazo, Inc. will introduce a curriculum that foregrounds critical literacy and the development of critical thinking skills; and that integrates youth's native languages (Fefe, Baham, Bagante) in the instruction of classes conducted both in English and French. Hence provide a quality education to 150 girls who otherwise would lack a high schooling opportunity.
