Mission:	To prevent the abuse and neglect of our nation's children.
Description:	Prevent Child Abuse America's national office is in Chicago, IL. Our nationwide chapter network, which currently consists of approximately 43 statewide chapters, meets the needs of each state, offering hundreds of local affiliates the support, vision and leadership needed to implement direct service programs; our public service announcements and national media campaigns inform the public about the many opportunities available to help stop child abuse; we produce and maintain a library of publications; our National Center on Child Abuse Prevention Research forges new paths in prevention strategies and programs; our voluntary initiative, Healthy Families America (HFA), with over 415 sites, helps families meet the challenges of a new child. Home visitors, before and after, the baby's birth develop supportive relationships with the new parents and help to link families to health and social services.
