SAVE DARFUR COALITION

In response to a crisis of disastrous dimensions, the Save Darfur Coalition has created a growing and engaged activist network that has demonstrated its commitment to ending the genocide in Darfur. The Coalition--consisting of over 180 US organizations representing 130 million people--has helped pull together two well attended and widely covered national rallies, two successful global events, a postcard campaign that sent more than one million messages to President Bush demanding a U.S. response to the genocide, a visit to Chad, and meetings with world leaders to advance the prospect of peace. The Coalition has received donations from thousands of individuals and has a rapidly growing activist list of a million concerned citizens.
