We consider anyone who works for positive change in the world to be a peace worker. Often these people work for non-profit groups that don't have a lot of money and so they don't often get the chance to go away on retreat, relax and rejuvenate. Since they don't have the opportunity to go back to their jobs recharged and invigorated, there's often a high burnout rate. That's where the Sophia Peace Center would like to help. We understand that if we help and renew the people working for positive change in the world (whether it be environmental, spiritual, social, political, business, or health-related), then we won't lose them and their desire to help. By renewing these people who give their lives to doing good work, we are helping to create peace in this world. All money donated to the Sophia Peace Center will go directly to giving peace workers retreats.
