The future of Liberia rests on a generation raised during one of Africa’s bloodiest civil wars. Liberia's war claimed the lives of over 250,000 people and displaced over 1 million. 100,000 child soldiers mercilessly murdered their own and carried out the destruction ordered by their bloodthirsty captors. At the war’s conclusion, the majority of Liberian child soldiers were released back into society with less than 12 hours of demobilization and disarmament.

The challenges of these circumstances, coupled with the lack of educational resources and rampant poverty, have produced a hopelessness that has driven many of Liberia’s youth toward violence and theft. According to the Liberia 2007 Crime and Safety Report, the unemployment rate in Liberia was recorded at 80%. US State Department recorded in 2003 a mere 20% of Liberians were literate. If nothing is done for the young adults of Liberia, the future of the nation promises to be beak and unstable.

The Found Generation (TFG) is being established to improve the future of Liberia by providing young adults with Bible-based leadership and business education, life-skills training along with business mentoring and mirolending through which they can secure a better future for not only themselves, but also for their country as a whole.

The TFG Leadership School is preparing to offer Liberians in their twenties:
•Six-month Christan leadership, post-trauma counseling, mentorship, conflict resolution training, and Christan business training
• Each students will have a Christan business mentor that will help them plan and start their own business, miro-lending wll be provided to these students
• Participation in student-run community development projects
•Career counseling
•Advising and placement in academic institutions and trade schools

TFG is currently working with Liberian nationals and experienced non-government aid workers to develop the best plan of action for the establishment of The Found Generation Leadership School. As plans are established, TFG will announce projects, volunteer missions, and financial needs. Prayer support is essential throughout this process.
