  1. Frank "Hondo" Howard is the face of the expansion Washington Senators baseball club.
  2. Hondo's exploits are still celebrated by Nats fans of the 60's and 70's.
  3. Hondo has been a respected coach and advisor to various teams over many years, most lately the Yankees with whom he recently parted company.
  4. Hiring Hondo would be the best PR and baseball move the Nats could make this offseason.
  5. Hondo belongs back in a Washington baseball uniform.

Frank "Hondo" Howard is the most famous and popular living veteran of the expansion Washington Senators baseball club. His accomplishments in a Washington uniform rival only those of Josh Gibson and Walter Johnson.

The New York Yankees, with whom Howard has been associated for many years in various capacities, recently parted ways with Howard as part of their ownership transition.

Nothing would give a bigger boost to D.C. baseball in 2009 than having Frank Howard in a Nationals uniform to work with our club's young future stars.
